But in the past 30 years, which episodes did people like the most and which characters captivated viewers’ attention? SEMrush, a trends data provider, took a look at comprehensive Google searches and found out exactly what people were searching for since 2015.

  • Bart Simpson is the most Googled character in the U.S.– beating out Homer Simpson (in 2nd place) by 17%, Sideshow Bob (3rd place) by 76%, and Marge Simpson (4th place) by 156%.
  • The Simpsons didn’t only bring great characters, but also started conversations about life as we know it, making “What did The Simpsons predict?” the most Googled question. “Did The Simpsons predict Trump?” was another common question.
  • What is THE most popular episode? “Simpsons Treehouse of Horror” was Googled 610% more than the second most searched episode, “Simpsons Cape Feare.”
