The ensemble cast, including Michael B. Jordan, Delroy Lindo, Jessie Buckley, and others, celebrated with the line: “This project is anointed… we’re all anointed to be a part of this incredible journey, created by the genius of Ryan Coogler” Deadline. Coogler became the first director to win this award twice, after Black Panther in 2019 Deadline.

Notable Context
All five film ensemble nominees (Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Another, Sinners) were also in contention for Best Picture at the Oscars.
Sinners’ ensemble win was a major boost ahead of Oscar season, following the 2025 pattern where the SAG ensemble winner (Conclave) lost the Best Picture Oscar.
