4X GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING GLOBAL SUPERSTAR ED SHEERAN TO HEADLINE LOS ANGELES DODGERS FOUNDATION ANNUAL BLUE DIAMOND GALA ON MAY 2, 2024

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation’s “Party for LA” will raise vital funds to tackle the city’s most pressing problems and leave a ‘Lasting Impact for Los Angeles’

The annual Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) Blue Diamond Gala is returning for the eighth time at Dodger Stadium on Thursday, May 2, 2024, with a private concert starring 4x Grammy award-winning global superstar Ed Sheeran. Sponsorship and tickets are now available at Dodgers.com/gala.

The gala, deemed the ‘Party For LA,’ is presented by the Los Angeles Dodgers Ownership Group. The evening will kick off with a star-studded blue carpet and pre-show dinner party followed by two hours of entertainment, including a DJ set and post-show party food trucks. In addition to the live performances, special guests will include the 2024 Los Angeles Dodgers, alumni, coaches, and other celebrities.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit LADF as it tackles the most pressing problems facing Los Angeles with a mission to improve education, health care, homelessness and social justice for all Angelenos. In the last ten years, LADF fostered a community ecosystem that grew to be bigger than baseball. Now, the organization enters its next phase of evolution and launches a new Strategic Plan: Lasting Impact for Los Angeles, which builds upon its successes by amplifying best practices, scaling solutions to reach more Angelenos, growing its capacity, and refining its work to create a lasting impact for Los Angeles.

“As we look forward, the gala underscores our unwavering commitment to serving Los Angeles, ensuring that as long as there is need, our ownership group will be here to support.” said Mark Walter, Los Angeles Dodgers Owner and LADF Chairman of the Board. “We welcome Ed Sheeran to a family of past Blue Diamond Gala performers whose artistry has helped raise vital funds to support Angelenos.”

Since its inception, LADF has invested over $60 million into the Los Angeles community in the form of direct programs and grants to nonprofits. Through contributions from individuals, foundations and corporate partners, LADF runs and funds proven programs and initiatives that level the playing field for the communities it serves.

“We’re honored to host the biggest night in the city as we recognize the success and contributions of our partners, community leaders, and everyday champions,” said Nichol Whiteman, CEO of LADF. “Thanks to our allies and supporters, LADF accelerates community investment, creates collective power to address key issues, and builds infrastructure for sustained capacity as we support extraordinary organizations leading transformative change throughout the region.”

LADF’s investments provide access to opportunities for growth and basic necessities for Los Angeles’ most marginalized populations and vulnerable neighborhoods. By developing community infrastructure with safe recreation spaces, offering sports-based youth development and social-emotional learning opportunities, fostering leadership and capacity building, funding organizations focused on closing equity gaps in core areas of education, healthcare and homelessness, engaging with communities, and convening to amplify the work of community partners, LADF ensures that everyone, regardless of ZIP code, has the opportunity to thrive.

Proceeds from the Blue Diamond Gala support the continuation and scaling of this impactful work. Previous Blue Diamond Gala performers include Usher, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Fleetwood Mac, Earth Wind & Fire, Maroon 5, Aloe Blacc, and Bruno Mars.
