Wahlburgers, the celebrated family burger restaurant of Chef Paul Wahlberg and superstar brothers Mark Wahlberg and Donnie Wahlberg, will open a second location on the Las Vegas Strip in late March. The new Wahlburgers, located at Mandalay Bay within The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, joins the global franchise, which started in Hingham, Massachusetts in 2011.
“People come to Las Vegas to make memories that last a lifetime, and my brothers and I are thrilled to be a part of those experiences as we welcome visitors to Wahlburgers at Mandalay Bay,” said Mark, who recently set down roots in Las Vegas with his family.
The centerpiece of the mouthwatering menu, which is inspired by the family’s recipes, is the selection of Chef Paul’s signature burgers. The “Our Burger” is made with a 1/3-pound beef burger patty, “government cheese” (a tongue-in-cheek name for their premium American cheese), lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and Paul’s housemade Wahl Sauce®; As a nod to their hometown, “The O.F.D.” (Originally From “Dorchestah”) is stacked with two burger patties, Swiss cheese, bacon, sauteed mushrooms and tomato jam. And for the consumer seeking a plant-based option, there’s the Impossible™ burger (Mark’s favorite) with smoked cheddar, lettuce, caramelized onions, housemade chili spiced tomatoes and Wahl Sauce®.
Other menu selections include an array of housemade salads, including the Jenn’s Chicken salad and a Salmon & Street Corn salad, as well as Crispy Fish and Crispy Chicken sandwiches and BBQ Chicken Tater Tots. A children’s menu is highlighted by the Smahlburger®, topped with “government cheese.” Wahlburgers also offers housemade shakes, plus creamsicle and root beer floats, as sweet accompaniments to the burgers.
“So much of the time we spent as a family was during the meals we shared together, and we’ve built Wahlburgers to honor our own experiences while growing up,” said Paul, who’s behind Wahlburgers’ award-winning burgers and menu.
At 5,000 square feet, the new Wahlburgers has a capacity of 150 guests, including an oversized bar ideal for grabbing a beer, adult shake or “Wahlcoction” and watching the game. HDTVs are located throughout the restaurant, so you’ll never miss a minute whether you’re seated in the dining room or at the bar.
The first Wahlburgers in Las Vegas opened in the Grand Bazaar Shops outside Bally’s Las Vegas in mid-2016. The burger restaurant now has more than 90 locations across the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
